Sailing Regattas on Sydney Harbour

 

An EastSail corporate sailing regatta on Sydney Harbour, offers a unique and thrilling team building experience. Participants sail aboard our fleet of performance Beneteau, Sydney or Dufour yachts. Each team is led by a highly qualified and experienced skipper/instructor who will guide and encourage everyone to take an active part in the steering and sailing of the yacht.

 

The sailing regatta course is strategically planned for the prevailing winds and to take the yachts close to many of Sydney Harbour's best attractions. Our sailing regattas are an exciting corporate team building event on Sydney Harbour.

EastSail's sailing regattas are an adventurous, inexpensive and healthy event to enhance your conference, company client day, or for staff team building. We can organise team building regattas for groups of all sizes - from 10 to 200 guests.

Harbour Sailing Regatta                                               

Platinum Sailing Regatta 

• Same inclusions as Harbour Regatta PLUS
• Less crew aboard each yacht (70 - 80% capacity)
• Two races, minimum 10 people

Blue Ribbon Sailing Regatta

• Same inclusions as platinum regatta PLUS
• Less crew aboard each yacht (60 - 70% capacity)
• EastSail cap in coordinated team colours
• Sports drinks and mineral water aboard 
• Minimum 10 people

Twilight Sailing Regatta

• This option has the same inclusions as the Harbour Regatta but in a 2 hour format                                
• Perfect for those long, hot, summer days!

Twilight Gold Sailing Regatta

• Same inclusions as twilight regatta plus
• Less crew aboard each yacht (60 - 70% capacity)
• EastSail cap in coordinated team colours
• Sports drinks and mineral waters aboard yachts

Morning Sailing Regatta

• This option has the same inclusions as the Harbour Regatta but in 3 hour morning format
• Minimum 12 people
• Perfect for executives who are time challenged!

Sample Itinerary: Half Day Sydney Harbour Regatta

(2 races are included in the Standard & Blue Ribbon Regattas)

1300 Welcome to the group by EastSail Race Director and introduction of skippers

1315 Orientation and safety briefing aboard the yachts

1330 Cast off, set sails, crews rehearse sailing manoeuvres and discuss tactics

1415 Teams make their way to the start area

1420 First warning signal - the yachts begin jockeying for the best position on the start line

1425 5 minutes warning signal

1430 The start boat completes the starting sequence flags and then fires the starters gun! (It's 

          incredible to see all the yachts crossing the line in quick succession.) The course is strategically

          planned to suit the prevailing winds of the day and takes in Sydney's best sites - or we can plan a

          more competitive Olympic Triangle course

1625 Race finished

1645 Dockside debriefing

1700 Farewell
