The Dayskipper shorebased course covers the theory aspects of navigation, seamanship and meteorology and is designed to complement the practical sailing
courses. This is a 40 hour course that ideally should be completed alongside or prior to the Dayskipper Practical Course so you can put the theory into practice.
This course can be completed in one of 3 ways:
Classroom - one evening a week over 13 weeks $945
Classroom - 1 x 5 day course $945
Online - $625
Previous Experience Required:None essential but a minimum of RYA Start Yachting practical recommended.
Ability After Course: Background theoretical knowledge of coastal navigation, seamanship, safety and meteorology to skipper a small vessel in familiar waters by day, be able to use charts to set a course and do position fixing.
