The course will include operations of VHFDSC (short range) Radio communications as well as HF DSC (Long Range).
This course meets the requirements of NSCV Master Class V (TDM ME501A) Marine Radio
RYA Coastal and Offshore Yachtmaster candidates are required to hold a marine radio license.
A radio certificate is generally required by charter companies overseas.
Under ISAF rules at least 2 crew members aboard racing yachts are required to have a license.

Inclusions:You will be provided with a copy of extensive course notes on arrival or you can read the Radio Operators Handbook and go through the sample exam revision questions on line prior to the course at http://www.amc.edu.au/handbooks. There is a test at the end of the day that is sent away for marking. Please allow 2 weeks for receipt of results/certificate. This course is held at Mosman, near the ferry jetty and run by instructors from OMTC. It is a requirement to
